King Carl Goes Fourth
Carl Boardley made history at Ipswich on July 4th & 5th as he became the first National Hot Rod driver to win the World Championship four consecutive times. He had the perfect weekend - he set comfortably the fastest lap time on Saturday morning to qualify on pole position and he led every one of the 75 laps in the big race.

Ipswich Spedeweekend 2009
Once again the annual two day Festival of Oval Racing at Foxhall proved to be a great success and the huge crowd enjoyed both some brilliant racing from the 426 cars parked out on Foxhall Heath and some wonderful weather with temperatures topping 30C on Saturday, and after some very early showers on Sunday morning it was soon almost as warm and lot of people left Ipswich rather pink-looking, but happy

The Groom Dynasty
If there was ever a family that had Castrol ‘R’ running through their veins, the Groom’s would be one of them. Billy and Dawn Groom head up three generations of racers the youngest being just seven years old, and the oldest .... well best not ask!
